Dear Parents and Community Members,
Welcome to Clay Hill Elementary School! I am proud to be leading at the greatest school in Clay County, where I began my principalship in 2016! Prior to that, I served as a classroom teacher and assistant principal for eighteen years, all of which were spent at our amazing Clay County schools. At CHE, our teachers and staff put students first, and ensure that the learning environment richly supports social-emotional development as well as strong academic gains!
The Clay Hill community is one that embraces familiarity and history. Many of our students are second and even third generation CHE Bulldogs! This is a testament to the value that our team places on relationships, and on ensuring that parents, staff, and community members work together to provide the best environment in which our students can learn and grow as they develop into successful, high performing adults.
CHE offers a comprehensive PreK-6th grade curriculum that includes strong instruction in foundational skills in the primary grades with an emphasis on deep, conceptual thinking in both ELA and math in the intermediate grades. Alignment to the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and individual student needs is evidenced in all our classrooms by standards-based daily core instruction and differentiated small groups at all levels and in all content areas. Our instructional delivery is complemented by one-to-one digital access for all students, facilitated by on-demand, campus-wide access to our district wireless network and Chromebooks for every student at Clay Hill Elementary. Extracurricular opportunities, such as Intramural Sports Club, Robotics, and Chime Choir, along with our small, close-knit study body size, further facilitates engagement and the opportunity for all students to receive instruction that is specific to their unique levels of need and interest.
It is both an honor and a blessing to lead the CHE team and to work alongside the staff, parents, and community members of Clay Hill as we support our students through their elementary years. At Clay Hill, we strive every day to enable our students to realize their potential and become high-performing citizens and leaders of the future!
Sincerely,
Adele Reed

Assistant Principal, Kathryn Wright
Dear Parents and Community Members,
It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal at Clay Hill Elementary. I am so blessed to start the next chapter in my educational career serving the families of this school and community. Prior to joining the CHE Bulldog family, I was an elementary music teacher for 27 years and served in many leadership capacities. My husband (U.S. Navy) and our two daughters have lived in Virginia, Texas, Washington State and Florida. We are thrilled to call Clay County our home for the past several years, after retiring from his 24 years of service to our wonderful country.
Clay Hill Elementary is known throughout Clay County as a strong family community with deep historical roots and appreciation for education. Our staff has high expectations and strives for excellence to promote positive student engagement and academic achievement for all scholars. In addition, we offer several extracurricular activities at our school and scholars will have many opportunities to get involved.
I look forward to working with you as we jump into this school year that will no doubt be filled with new adventures and discoveries for everyone. Please know that the safety of our students is a top priority for us. We take great pride in connecting with families and creating community partnerships that will promote a successful instructional environment for all students. I am extremely excited to be a member of the Bulldog family!
Sincerely,
Kathryn Wright
